About PregnaMama Initiative

PregnaMama is a maternal health lifesaving initiative founded to confront one of the most painful realities in our communities: mothers are dying from causes that are entirely preventable.

Every day, women lose their lives due to postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), eclampsia, untreated high blood pressure, anemia, delayed referrals, lack of blood, lack of transport, and slow response during labor and childbirth.

These deaths are not medical impossibilities. They are failures of timing, access, information, and response. Medicine exists. Care exists. What fails is how quickly help reaches a mother in crisis. Mothers are not dying because solutions do not exist. They are dying because help arrives too late.

What PregnaMama Does

Closing the Gap in Maternal Health

PregnaMama works directly within communities to stop preventable maternal deaths through practical, life-saving interventions:

1. Community Blood Donor Network

We ensure that no mother dies while waiting for blood during childbirth emergencies by building and coordinating local blood donor networks.

2. Early Maternal Education

We teach mothers danger signs, birth preparedness, emergency planning, and when to seek urgent care—empowering women with knowledge that can save their lives.

3. Community Events & Mobile Clinics

Through outreach programs and mobile clinics, we provide on-site screening for:

  • Blood pressure
  • Hemoglobin (Hb)
  • Blood sugar Levels
  • Blood Grouping
  • Urinalysis
  • Obstretic ultrasound services
These screenings help identify high-risk pregnancies early—before it is too late

4. Emergency Response Information

Mothers receive verified contacts for ambulances, maternity hospitals, emergency units, and referral centers, ensuring rapid access to life-saving care.

5. Bridging Treatment Delays

PregnaMama actively connects mothers to hospitals, guides families during emergencies, and ensures that no woman faces a crisis alone.
